Stained Glass Feather
I have designed and made this Stained Glass Superman Logo with Ukrainian flag colors. This is a suncatcher that can hang in the window and brighten up your living space. Created using Stained glass, copper foil and solder I left this stained glass feather with the natural silver solder.

I first made a pattern of the Feather and then I cut the glass to the pattern. If required I grind the edges to remove any sharp or irregular edges. The next step is to clean the glass very well and apply the copper foil. Once the copper foil is applied it is then burnished (pressed down) against the glass to help it adhere to the glass. The project is then assembled according to my pattern and then soldered with 60/40 solder, cleaned with a flux cleaner and then I left the solder Silver. Then a coat of wax is applied to the entire project to shine and protect it.
Due to the nature of handmade glass art, there may be bubbles, marks or color variations in the glass. These are not to be considered defects but part of the handmade process.
Best to clean/dust the project with a microfiber cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or commercial glass cleaners to clean, they may discolor the finish. 100% carnuba wax can be applied if patina starts to loose its shine. Always test a small area first to make sure it doesn't ruin the patina. Use caution along the edges of the project when cleaning as to not peel the soldered copper foil off the edges.
